SALK.EDU WEBSITE REDESIGN: ENGAGE/DONOR SECTIONS
SALK.EDU REDESIGN: ENGAGE/DONATE SECTIONS
Below is an assortment of screen captures of the Salk.edu website focused on donor engagement, stewardship, and development. The section was completely redesigned and populated with new “snack-able” content, including video, to improve user engagement, improve storytelling opportunities, use easy-to-understand navigation language, and reduce “noise” (unnecessary steps/content) on the donation page to improve the donation page conversion rate.
WEBSITE STORYTELLING PROJECT
One of the first website projects I implemented was using software, photography, video, and text to create a new narrative storytelling method on Salk.edu. We implemented the new approach in different areas of the website. The result is that the average time spent on traditional Salk.edu pages (as measured by Google Analytics) was around 2 minutes versus more than 6 minutes on the pages where the narrative storytelling was implemented. A three-time increase in time spent engaging with the website content. Below is a video demonstrating the storytelling experience implemented to showcase Salk’s Harnessing Plants Initiative. The second video showcases Salk's architecture and history using the same approach.

Website Redesign (meetmeinsandiego.com)
The San Diego Convention Center operates multiple websites targeting various audiences, including the one showcased below, which focuses on attracting attendees to events at the convention center. While the site includes the San Diego Convention Center branding, it has unique navigation, content, and images geared to the audience.
